Picture
Leonard Borkowski Jr. was the first born son of Leonard Sr. and Vera Borkowski.  Leonard Sr was a Baker for the Porth Pie Company and his mother Vera, was a homemaker.  The family Residence was at 328 N 62nd Street, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Leonard Jr. was a talented Architectural Designer working for the Brust & Brust Architectural Firm. This firm is especially well known for their Residential Designs influenced by old English Architecture which is apparent in his own home which he designed and built in Wauwatosa.  Len  joined Sokol with his wife Fran on April 6, 1999 and was particularly fond of the annual Jaternice Dinner which he regularly attended with other family members and friends.  Len was very active in a variety of associations not only as a member but also a lecturer.  He was an avid tool collector and enjoyed giving out handmade twisted metal icicles at the Sokol Christmas gatherings. He held memberships in the Midwest Tool Collectors Association (MWTCA), Early American Industries Association (EAIA), The Polish Genealogical Society of Wisconsin, State of Wisconsin Historical Society, Milwaukee County Historical Society, and the Wauwatosa Historical Society.  Len is survived by his beloved wife Frances (Vespalec), son Robert F. (Lisa) Borkowski and daughter, Mary (Steven Jr.) Musinsky.   Brother of Donald (Antoinette) Borkowski,  Brother-in-law of James (Patricia) Vespalec, Patricia Armbruster and Frank Vespalec.  Visitation was held on Friday, May 23, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1500 Wauwatosa Ave., Wauwatosa, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials to St. Bernard Catholic Church or The Wauwatosa Historical Society appreciated.

God Bless and Rest in Peace, we will miss you.
